We moved to St George area about 1-1/2 years ago. Our senior beagle had only been to one vet in his life. After we moved here and found ourselves in need of a local vet we tried a couple of offices. They were okay, but when we were referred to a Red Hills, we knew we found our new vet. Hunter has been seeing Dr. Hanning. Last week we had a crisis. Such a kind and helpful group of people! My puppy had eaten oleander and on our way to the hospital he threw up all over the car. When we arrived they came out and helped not only with getting our puppy cleaned up, but also bringing wet rags to clean up our car and hose off our floor mats. I have been very impressed with the vets we have seen as well. The office staff is friendly and professional and I have already referred people to their clinic. Thank you Red Hills!!
Dr. Smith is awesome. I brought my 15 year old teddy bear Pom in. He was losing too much weight after having a dental done at another vet. she did blood work and found that his kidneys were failing - something that had shown up on the blood work done BEFORE his dental, something I asked the previous vet to PLEASE do his bloodwork and make sure he was healthy enough for the dental because it was pretty extensive. Absolutely LOVE Dr. Hannig! After a less than desirable experience at the emergency vet I scheduled an appointment first thing Monday morning so my dog could see his regular vet. I should have just waited the weekend and come here in the first place. I feel he was given a thorough exam and care from Dr. Hannig and all of the staff. I highly recommend this location!
I've brought my dog here twice now and we've seen 2 of the Dr's. It has been great both times. They have walked me through all my options and have been nothing but nice and understanding. I was referred to them from a pet owner I trust and I will tell anyone I know that this is a great place to bring your pet. My dog is not a great patient but everyone there is extra nice to him
Ugh. I've had some poor experiences with the desk at this vet since writing this review. So this is not about the vet but the client care here - I've called with questions a few times and the desk staff always seems annoyed and confused at basic questions (I worked at a vet front desk for a year there's some basics missing here) But recently I got a notification my dogs bord vaccine was expired. This place is THE WORST. They misdiagnosed my dog over and over and over again after we paid them thousands of dollars. He now has advanced cancer that was discovered by another doctor. DO NOT trust them with your precious pets. Also, the overweight lady at the front desk with short curly hair is unbelievably rude. It's hard to believe she is allowed to work amongst animals. ZERO compassion.
I used to really love this vet and I appreciate all that they have done for my dogs in the past. Unfortunately, in recent years as they've become busier and obtained more clients the service changed pretty drastically. I really feel that they've taken advantage of the fact that I have 3 extremely old dogs and have pushed to do a pretty horrendous amount of testing on them.
