We used Ridgetop for over 14 yrs and loved it. Unfortunately when Dr Paulson left,there wasn’t anyone left in management that cared about its patients or customers. Policy changes without notice, redundant and expensive testing. Lack of communication and even lied too. I hold Dr Burch personally responsible for the unnecessary death of my kitty. After 25+ years with Dr Paulson who unfortunately retired the customer service at this place has gone downhill. It’s unfortunate that long time customers are treated so poorly, especially ones who have always paid their bill in full and on time. We have multiple pets. place has gone downhill horribly. Waste of time. drove far to come for an appointment as a loyal customer for years to be treated with disrespect. while I was waiting on hold WITH THEM my appointment time passed. they came back on the line to tell me I missed my appointment. it's no longer about the animals. my old dog has a severe ear infection and they won't see her even though it was thier fault I went over my appointment time because they forgot me on hold for 5 minutes.
We have used Ridgetop Animal Hospital because they have been accommodating in the past. However the customer service has gone down hill. We were told after our dog had to have stitches to just walk in without an Appt to get them removed (which we have done before with zero issues). We even called to verify this was the case before making the trip out to Silverdale. Had me drop my dog off at 7 am for surgery, didnt get started until 11 am. They kept her an unnecessarily long and stressful time. They also heinously misrepresented the cost of my dog's oral surgery on the estimate. Wouldn't give my dog back when I objected to the increased charges, until I paid the bill. It has now cost me over $2000 to have some dental work done for her. I will be disputing the charge to my card through my credit card company. they arent even my vet, but they were the only vet in town to offer me assistance with my problem today...and they didnt overcharge me
So me and my companion Ludo have been going here for 6 years, and have recently discovered that we have been overcharged when I took recent receipts to 4 other vets. The difference was no less then 100% mark up and in some cases up to 500%. The staff is great, and so is the care if I am telling the truth, but mind your pocket book because that is the number one goal of this clinic... absurd profit. i would love to say they are amazing, after all, my odin would not be alive today had they not fixed his teeth and found the stone in his bladder. but today i got a letter in the mail saying that they had renewed my paw plan after my husband told them 4 seperate times he did not want to do so. as we cant pay $80 a month for the newly priced plan. they chared his card without notifying him and when he called they told him that the insurance company would have to call him back later today or tomorrow. thats bull@#$*.

After many! years of good service, it appears the owner and staff are more interested in my pocketbook than the well-being of my animals. I came to this conclusion after a discussion with Dr. Paulson. Due to the chaotic waiting room and inflated invoices. I decided to and found another clinic. Where the health and well-being of animals is of more concern to the staff and vets. Along with more reasonable invoices.
