Excellent as expected from Bartolotta brand. Bar service slow due to only one on staff, but busy for Sunday evening so might have been understaffed. Wait staff was good, attentive. Food excellent. No soup option that day so went with salad instead. No sign or visit from manager during entire visit, but not expected or needed. Sometimes smaller venues like this someone drops by in addition to the regular staff.
First meal I have left Ristorante Bartolotta disappointed. My wife and I love fresh heirloom tomatoes, so we decided to trust the chef with his fixed price menu around this seasonal offering. The starter of Burrata cheese and heirlooms with aged balsamic was wonderful. Unfortunately that was the highlight. Was a very nice environment to bring a large group. Staff was very attentive.
First time and will be back......
Drinks were not good. Should have noticed no one sitting at the bar for a before or after dinner drink. Our server was good, friendly, prompt and courteous. Food was good but I have had better. They should probably think about jamming one more table in the dining area, can barely navigate to go to washroom.
This is a quaint Italian restaurant in downtown Tosa. Many old family pictures on the wall to set the ambiance. I had the duck ragu (pappardelle?) on homemade ribbon pasta. It was excellent. My husband had a seafood di mare w/ roasted veggies grilled w/ lemon and olive oil. Everything was cooked perfectly. Our waiter, Sam was wonderful. Definately worth a trip!
Chefs menu was best one yet! Service outstanding!
Delightful experience. Food & service extraordinary. A special treat: sitting next to Ted and Maria (Bartolotta).
