Wait staff was professional and attentive. Food was very good and half-priced bottles of wines on Mondays and Tuesdays. I was asked how I wanted my salmon to be cooked. I've never been asked that before, but it was done medium rare, just as I had requested.
We had a great experience on every level. Our waiters Samuel and Andy were attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent as well as the pace of the meal. I recommend sharing the generous appetizer. More room for dessert.
This is one of my very favorite restaurants. The food is delicious: original, fresh, and perfectly prepared. Service was polite, knowledgeable, and unobtrusive. The ONLY downside is the noise level. My friend and I were at a small table and had difficulty carrying on a conversation. We'll be back - shouldn't talk with our mouths full anyway!
The food is good, but I wouldn't say it's great. And the price is expensive, so that can leave a bad taste when paying the bill. Focus on the atmosphere, the excellent wine and the friendly, helpful servers, and you will have a satisfying evening.
Outstanding wait staff service. ( Julianna and Dan). Nice interior (tablecloths, seating, flowers, candles), interesting building, etc. Too noisy for us overall - difficult to speak to companion especially since booth of 4 were right at our elbow and very loud. Lamb chops tender but true taste almost too overwhelmed by sauce for lamb lovers. Pork chop could have been a bit more tender and done. Buffalo mozzarella appetizer very good. Special occasion for us so dessert was on the house (Thank You!) - flourless chocolate cake ... read more

A great chefs menu as usual, but on my previous visit a couple weeks ago I had a new porcini mushroom pasta. The hand made noodles were el dente as they should be, but the mushroom ragu was over the top with mushroom flavor. This seemed strange as chef Juan's dishes are always well balanced and delicious. Perhaps this recipe was from someone else.
Ristorante Bartolotta gets a huge boost because of the severe lack of quality Italian restaurants in Milwaukee, and being one of the only fine dining in Tosa. Don't get me wrong, the food is good and well made. But the restaurant packs way too many tables into a small space, which severely inhibits the ambiance and causes it to be so loud you can barely talk. This would be fine for a mid range Italian option, but when dinner for 2 will cost $100 easily, you have to expect more from the atmosphere. In addition, the staff seem... read more
As an appetizer, the sage gnocchi was such a pleasant surprise..outstanding. Both meals were great. Our servers were attentive and informative.
