Beautiful Place to Stay The staff was friendly; however busy when we checked in; therefore neglecting to give us the pool key, so we had to drive back up to the office to get it. Also advertised was a hair dryer in the room and there was not. The room, pool and golf course were beautiful and very clean.
Dissatisfied The room was nice and clean but the service was horrible. Check in was at 3:00pm. We arrived around 5:00pm room was not ready, it was after 8:30 pm before we got keys to room. I see why they only have a 3.8 rating it's because of the service.
Just a hotel room stuck in a plantation. This room was mediocre to me personally. Check in was at 3pm and they said the room was not clean yet and that housekeeping was in our room and that the staff would call when it was ready, needless to say they never called so I had to. When we finally checked in they could not find the room keys so the staff had to cut us a key to the room. Excellent Property The property is outstanding. Excellent value for the money. First time we had rented a condo type property instead of a hotel. The extra space and kitchen amenities were worth it. Beds were not the most comfortable, but just OK. King bed was just 2 singles pushed together.
Need better pillows, and the carpet was filthy needs replaced or cleaned.

moved to the Barefoot Resort I guess they over booked River Oaks Resort so we got moved to Barefoot Resort
Decent with the discount My husband and I took our four children here and stayed in the 2 bedroom villa. We booked a king size bed and 2 singles with the sofa bed. My husband and I were not pleased that our 'king size' bed was actually 2 twins pushed together, with 1 bedspread and 2 sheet sets. It made for a very uncomfortable night's sleep! Also, they did not provide enough clean towels for our entire visit, and we had to purchase laundry materials, something we were not counting on. Everything else was good.
