Rumpke bought out ****** out of ***************** this Spring. Rumpke missed picking up our trash on multiple occasions but would pick our neighbors on our same road and the next day they would be on the next road over. There was no reliability. All of our payments were made on time as was our July payment and they still missed picking up our trash. We called on two separate occasions to cancel the service and request refund. I cancelled trash collecting service and then was charged for service for the next quarter. When I asked for a refund they said it would take up to 3 weeks after current service ended which is after my credit card bill is due. I cancelled over a month from when service was to end and now they refuse to refund until about 2 months after they incorrectly charged me. I cancelled because they charged double what other trash collecting services charge in my area and their customer service is sorely lacking.
Horrible service. Horrible customer service. Misses my trash on regular basis. Canceling them as soon they pick my trash.
I wish I can do a negative on the stars. I sent my trash out every Monday night and pay for services monthly for me to look at my trash for 2 weeks sitting outside my house along with my neighbor. And then we call everyday for 2 weeks for us to get the same response but someone will be coming to pick it up in 24 to 48 hours. Well the math ain't mathing it's been 2 weeks!!!
This company overcharges for trash service. Then they dont want to hire you when you apply for positions that youre qualified for. All they care about is your money. I will be canceling their service asap. They are a shady company. Take your money elsewhere.
I've been a customer of Rumpke here in ***** ****** Ohio since 2013. Aside from constant increases, the pick-ups were on schedule, BUT, I found the pick-up personnel going through my trash container. Given the fact that when I moved here, Rumpke was really the only game in the county. Finally, a local trash pick-up service was formed. I am a new customer. They cashed my check, picked up my trash first two weeks. This week, they never picked up my trash. I have called 4 days in a row now, they always say someone will come out to pick it up, and 4 days into this they still have not yet returned to pick up my trash. I cannot continue to call them each and every day, with no results. The racoons have attacked it each night and I have to go out and re-package it every morning. Review for Rumpke On June 1, 2026 I went to Rumpke Louisville Transfer Station, ****************************************** to dump trash. When I arrived at this company to drop off trash, After my car was weighed, I was instructed to leave my drivers license at the transaction booth. When I returned to the booth to pay for the service and the clerk processed my credit card I was informed by the clerk that she had given my license to the previous customer. A few years ago, I was residential refuse service customer of ***********. However, this company sold their business to Rumpke. When Rumpke started collecting our trash, they began missing our trash collection every so often. I would have to call customer service and let them know; they assured me that someone would be out to get it in the next day or two.
