I sought out Dr. Miyamoto for a second opinion. Unlike my original provider, Dr. Miyamoto did a thorough physical exam and answered. He then said the only treatment was arthroscopic surgery. He had me scheduled within a few weeks. Everything was a breeze to set up. The surgery was a success. He set me up for a complete recovery. He has a great sense of humor and his staff is superb. He’s got a reputation as the best in the area and it is well deserved.

I had gone to another provider who I didn't feel was doing things the right way. I saw Dr. Miyamoto who took a look at my MRI, did an actual physical examination, which previous provider didn't do, and diagnosed a few things, including some things missed by the other provider. I had surgery and he got everything taken care of. He was recommended by some others as the best in the area.

Was not happy with the amount of time his admin took to get back with me on questions I had post-op as well as paperwork I needed for work. I had a great experience otherwise.

Dr. Miyamoto helped identify an ongoing cause of pain from a fairly serious injury that had been written off multiple times. He has gone above and beyond the call to help ensure I'm receiving the best care. Definitely recommend him as his expertise and bedside manners are second to none.

I visited Dr. Miyamoto for pain in my shoulder. During the consultation, I clearly stated that my pain was concentrated in the front of my shoulder. However, the diagnosis was frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), based mainly on my limited range of motion. (After a month of shoulder inflammation, anyone would have restricted motion ) Even with ultrasound guidance, the injection was placed into the joint capsule through a posterior approach, which did not target the area where my pain was located in front of the shoulder. D... read more

I visited Dr. Miyamoto for pain in my left shoulder. During the consultation, I stated that my pain was in the front of my shoulder. Despite this, he focused solely on my limited range of motion and diagnosed me with frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) without considering other possibilities. (Having dealt with shoulder inflammation for a month, anyone would have restricted motion.) Even with ultrasound guidance, he completely ignored the painful front area. Ultimately, he gave me a steroid injection into the joint capsule... read more

I was referred to Dr. Miyamoto after 8 months of worsening hip pain during physical therapy. I explained that I needed surgery before nursing clinicals and my husband's surgery so we could recover together. He dismissed my pain as “minor fraying,” made me wait a month for imaging, and ordered the wrong type to fully assess a labral tear. Despite months of failed conservative treatment, I was only offered injections. I left feeling like my concerns weren’t heard and that my pain wasn’t taken seriously. As a female patient, it... read more
