Went into the hospital for three days after an accident. Dr. Miyamoto came by to treat for several fractures. This went well. The hospital classified this as observational care and was confirmed with the hospital. His billing person submitted this to insurance as inpatient-which resulted in additional cost to us- and insisted this had to be the case. Dr. Miyamoto was aware of this. His billing person refused to call the hospital to check. The larger problem was beyond cost--it was that this was a very unpleasant experience.
After being in severe pain for more more than a year, I was referred to Dr. Miyamoto from a fellow doctor who recommended surgery. Dr. Miyamoto told me that my hip was not worth fixing because it would just go back to the way it was. The only suggestion was to try stem cell replacement therapy. No other recommendations were made to manage my pain. I had surgery with a fantastic surgeon and had immediate relief from the pain I was experiencing. I WAS worth fixing! Dr. Miyamoto was not interested in helping me.
bad experience after my surgery. it was a failed surgery and he didnot address the postop complications. he kept dismissing my concerns and pain. now living in chronic pain...
It's very difficult to talk to his receptionist. I tried to make appointment with Dr. Miyamoto just this morning for sprained ankle (Dec 28th, 2017). His receptionist picked up the phone and behavior very unprofessionally.
