We recently were forced to acknowledge that it was time for my mom to move to assisted living. This is a really difficult process, and if you are reading this, I can only assume you too are looking for a place for a loved one. I can tell you we have been very happy with Sage of Glendale. Sage is run by a corporation and it is based on one thing: Financial Profit. Although the building is very nice, the staff turn over is huge. Even the supervisors and executives changed several times in the twelve months that my parent lived there. It seemed like they keep the patients overly medicated with anti-anxiety pills to keep them quiet and sedated. My dad was not himself at Sage, he was almost catatonic. My brother, who my parents made power of attorney, was a huge mistake. But that's not the point. The point is this: He never discussed putting my parents in this god-forsaken place which is very expensive. He never discussed it with me because he kept saying HE and only HE had the power. It gets worse. I was told by Zion, who he thinks of himself as a supervisor, my father has been in a hospital for over two(!) weeks and REFUSED to tell me why and where he is. His reason? After 9 months at Sage, we finally had to move my mother in law out. While the place is beautiful sadly the place is understaffed, has a high staff turnover and the menu is static. Phone calls are frequently not returned. Sad to say but we would not recommend this facility anymore

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I came here 3 times to see a patient of mine for physical therapy. The staff from the front desk to the workers upstairs aka the med tech and so called director are so disrespectful it's ridiculous. The only people who are nice are the cleaning staff. I went today to work with a patient and for the 3rd time I was knocking on the door for 5 minutes for someone to open it for me to see my patient. This was after the front desk saw me check in, and they are supposed to call upstairs t... read more

I wish I could give zero because that is truly what our experience was. My father was here for a total of 3 days before we pulled him out. He was in the memory care unit and we were sold a laundry list of empty promises about how he would be cared for. The fact of the matter is that none of it was true. From the staff to resident ratio, meals, even down to the medication. The communication was dishonest and overtly negligent. The final straw was when we discovered that he had not been given his most critical medicine for day... read more
