Date night went very bad after arriving at Sage and Salt. We were approached in a decent time by our waiter, but then drinks took forever to come out. My husband's cup sat empty over 10 minutes we finally stopped our waitress and asked for a refill, in which she forgot about and we had to ask again for both of our cups to be filled up. The appetizer was the only good thing we had all night. My steak was over cooked, after waiting for our waitress to come back so I get it redone, she never came back around until well over 15-... read more

Sadly this was our second (and last) visit. I didn't write a review the first time because they were newly opened and our experience wasn't great, but I factored that in. But our second trip was just as disappointing. When we first walked in all of the staff were busy on their phones and didn't even acknowledge us and Even though we did not make a reservation for the new addition, that is unfortunately where we were sat. It's too bad they didn't wait to open the new side until they were actually finished building it. I'm gue... read more

The food is mid. First they just fumble a salmon burger Fishy. The Caesar is good but adding chicken is $12 which is insane. The only thing that is worth it is the side of mac and cheese and the pork ribs.

My experience was NO value. I thought every item was over priced, and very small portions

My husband and I had dinner at Sage & Salt and really wanted to like it. I will begin by saying that this is the very first restaurant review I've ever posted. The cocktails were phenomenal, as was the service; however, our entrees were a different story. We both ordered filets - the presentation was beautiful, but both were extremely undercooked. My husband ordered his medium rare, and I requested medium. Mine was very rare - still with a lot of red in the center. My husbands was worse than mine, and he can truly eat his st... read more

Tried sage and salt. Sous Chef was cutting pork ribs in the bar area. Ribs did not seem fully cooked and would be cooked later, must have been 20 racks. Thought this was a great way to get people ill. Talked to a friend several days later ,same butchering but with salmon, fish sitting out for 20 to thirty minutes. Guess what? Both where seriously ill after eating

Willows was our favorite restaurant in Winston so we were disappointed to hear it was closing. We waited awhile before trying Sage & Salt. When the waitress asked if we'd been there my wife replied not since it was Willows. The waitress stated the new owner used to work there and took everything that was wrong and improved it. Right away we were skeptical. The menu is limited but I ordered a steak which was average, especially considering the price. My wife ordered the salmon which was good but not great. The place seems to ... read more

Standard and expected based on the reviews. The waiter tried to talk me out of getting an appetizer as my meal which was frustrating. I eat small meals and had not been feeling well leading to my choice for an appetizer meal. There is a better way to go about service. Otherwise the staff all seemed to have a flat affect. Nothing to really make me want to come back in the staff, the food or atmosphere. Note that you can ask for additional crackers to go with your cheese board. Clearly not enough for 4 people.

Recently met a friend for lunch at Sage & Salt. I was pleasantly greeted and seated upon arrival and was offered indoor or outdoor seating. The menu offering for lunch was adequate but I was really disappointed to see grilled romaine salad wasn't on the menu. I realize this is a new restaurant in Willow's former location but had hoped this menu item would be carried over and on the menu. I ordered the beet salad. When the salad arrived it had no beets. Our server was at the bar talking with a staff member. After several min... read more
