Food was delicious but tiny portions, service was poor and server did not check on us once, very loud to the point my husband and I were almost yelling to hear each other haha, likely will not return
Way to loud. They renovated and the tables are way to close togwther. Felt like sardines . The food choices were way better in the past
Waited over half an hour to be seated for our reservation. Service was not good and when we finally did get to order we were informed they were out of most every single main dish. I’d recommend for a drink at the bar but then you should head elsewhere
We were having a great time for about 90 minutes when we ordered our last round of drinks. As soon as they arrived, the hostess suddenly told us we had to leave because another party needed the table. If you needed us to leave, why let us order more drinks? We hadn’t even gotten our bill yet, and didn’t even get a chance to take a sip before essentially being kicked out. It left a sour end to what was otherwise a good experience.
Food was overall great, service was good, took more than half an hour to receive our drinks our food was out quick overall 6.5/10
I had high hopes for this place. The restaurant looks nice but can't make food. The food was very bad. We ordered the chicken caviar which was just a bad move but we were told it was good. Basically, it tasted like a raw chicken nugget. Slimy and gross. I was worried my food was undercooked. The tuna dish, also not good. The tuna was warm and smelled and tasted very fishy. My husband and I were excited to try Sago for dinner, especially after hearing great things and seeing the incredible transformation from the old dive bar. The decor is absolutely stunning, but that's where the positive experience ended. We had a reservation for 8 p.m. on a Thursday. Place was incredibly loud. Wants to be a club, not a restaurant. False advertising on wagyu steak (wasn’t even American wagyu.) Entrees came out thirty minutes apart, Nothing taken off the bill, nothing on the house, not even an apology. Avoid at all costs. So busy trying to be hip, they forget they’re still in the service industry.
Food was amazing and the service ended strongly. However, I was seated at my table for over 15 minutes with no server coming to even take drink orders. After the waitress came by for the first time, the service was outstanding but not a great feeling sitting around for over 15min and not even getting a server to introduce themselves.
