The atmosphere, decor and vibe are amazing. The inside is stunning. The drinks were great. The food was fine. The service was very disappointing . I came for my friend’s birthday and put notes in the reservation about it. The hostess and server said nothing. Took 1.5 hours to get three appetizers. Our order wasn’t inputted correctly.
i was so excited to checkout this place "sago" since it is asian vibes. i invited my friends to joined me. we drove all the way from chula vista to encinitas "sago' ! we get there check in at the front door and greeter walk us in our table and we start ordering a good amount of foods. i will definitely not recommend this place if you're really hungry because the serving of food was only for people diet mode and main reason is photoshoot!' the service from our server nicolas is very good. ambience was great. also, my friends ... read more
We were looking forward to trying this place. Food was ok and although we ordered quite a few dishes we all left hungry. Ambience is cute and the theme is like being on a cruise ship.
Our waitress was terrible. Would not check on us. We had to ask yo get our table cleared.
Beautiful restaurant - especially the decor and set up. I made a reservation for my birthday and the reservation said that it would be for a booth. When we arrived, we were sat at a bar table with high seats and told that the restaurant overbooked and if someone moved we could have their booth. Not ideal but ok - it happens. The evening started off fine, we were sat quickly after our arrival. The server was over shortly and took our order for drinks and a couple starter dishes. The food was good and we wanted to order more, but the server was no where to be found for at least 20 minutes. We talked to another server who said she would be right back over to put some more food in, but then she never came back either. We eventually had to get the host to find our server and then left immediately. Won't be back.
I typically don’t write bad reviews, but this experience warrants it. Despite having a reservation, we were left waiting for service for 15 minutes in a nearly empty restaurant. When I approached the bartender to ask for assistance with our reservation, I was told, “Just take a table, dude.” Once seated, knowing the restaurant closed around 9 PM, we promptly ordered our drinks and meals—four drinks and four main courses. Our server was excellent, but we had an issue with the host stand. A host or server came to our table to tell us we had reached an undisclosed 90 minute time limit at our table. Unfortunately for the staff, we had been seated for about 60 minutes and were still ordering food and drinks. So, we were fairly outraged.
