When I first came to Sago, I rated it much higher. So I planned my friend’s birthday there on a Wednesday evening at 7 PM. Already the menu is very small, I think like 10 items. We came at seven and they were out of two of the dishes. We ended up not having dinner there, just had drinks and went across the street to Herb & Sea. Great ambiance with a San Diego nightclub vibe. Encinitas really needed this vibe because it truly doesn’t exist in North County. Great to go celebrate with friends. Get dressed up and feel like you’re in a different city! Loved it! Also had terrific cocktails
Beautiful place but Seems chaotic.service is slow and confused and menu is basic. Hopefully they get it together.they’re new so we’ll wait a few months before trying again
Fun, tropical vibe! Beautiful design. Food & cocktails were tasty- Perfect for a girls night out or date night!
Really pretty restaurant and bar. Pricey. Staff seemed very confused and brought the wrong order to us twice.

It’s a beautiful restaurant for sure, great design! The menu is limited and the night we went, they were out of 3 of the 11 things on their menu (2/5 of the entrees- both things we wanted) so what we could order was quite limited. Tuna Tartar and the Hamachi were good but not great, fresh fish but flavours I’ve had often. The Brussel sprouts were very undercooked. Such a cute spot, amazing vibes, good food. They were out of a few things but what we got was still good.
They were out of half of the menu. Small portions but loved the vibe of the restaurant
