It was my birthday dinner with a group of friends. SAGO went above and beyond to make sure that we had the best time. The food, service and ambiance was everything. We will be back!!
I go to Sago quite often, and the experience is always a great one. The food is always on point from Chef Daniel, who I think is one of the best is San Diego (I go out quite a bit and have eaten at some the best restaurants in the world). SAGO is such a vibe. Total Miami feel with great DJs and music all night. The food was delicious — definitely order the tomahawk steak if you’re sharing with the table. Cocktails were on point, the crowd was fun, and the staff was super friendly. Honestly the best spot for a girls’ night out or date night in North County
Everything from the drinks to the food were EXCELLENT. A little on the pricey side for tapas but worth it.

First of all the place is absolutely beautiful. I reserved for a table but got a booth. I had a hard time getting in and out of the booth because the material the booth was made out of was clinging to my dress. I managed awkwardly, lol. Anyways, our server was magnificent. I was there celebrating my 62nd birthday. I’m disabled and have celiac. We ordered everything gluten free. Our server and every one else that served us made sure my guests and I had a great time.
I wanted to love this restaurant so much, but the hype is better than reality. First of all it is a beautiful restaurant, with lots of beautiful people. Booked a table for new year’s celebration. Food was amazing considering place is a high end bar with great ambiance and service. Highly recommend!
We went here for our anniversary. Let’s start with the positives: We were seated at the bar and our seats were comfortable. The depth of the bar counter was generous and it didn’t feel like you were crammed in a tight space. The bartender who took care of us that evening was Mike/Michael. He was friendly and attentive.
