We had a great dinner, the food was great, waitress was awesome
Very enjoyable early evening celebration dinner before running off to a concert. Will definitely go back when we can spend an entire evening absorbing all of the ambiance.
We stopped for a quick dinner before the theater performance. The waitress was very accommodating to our requests and made the dining experience a superb one. The food was tasty and was served quick. Overall very pleased with the restaurant.
A work friend and I both had the feature dinner, 7 oz filet with spicy broccoli and mashed potatoes with lobster meat on top and it was yummy to say the least. The wine was great, the service was very good but I did find the restaurant a bit too noisy as we were having trouble hearing each other across the table.
The few times I've been to saltlik were strictly for work, but this time I took my girlfriend for her birthday. Great service from our primary waitress - I can remember her name but she was taller and had parents in from Saskatchewan for the weekend she mentioned - and good food.
I've eaten here before, Stephan Ave where it is located is the Main area for bars, restaurants but remember you are in western Canada, not Montreal or Toronto...I though the calamari and beef carpaccio were excellent. I ordered the filet, my colleague the Prime rib. We both agreed the steak was ok, but not exceptional. Very conveniently located in the heart of Calgary, just a short block from the Calgary Tower. The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff, and superb steaks. For those who don't know much Alberta beef, this restaurant gives you a chance to see how excellent it is when it's well prepared. Highly recommended.
We were greeted at the door on this rainy evening. promptly seated to a cozy comfortable seat to celebrate our 32nd anniversary. We were asked about drinks, met our server Melanie and she took great care of us. this was our first time there and the food was fabulous.
Started off well with a tasty wedge salad. However, the filet mignon and the baked potato main course was very mediocre. Both were just warm, yet the filet was slightly over done. The potato was easily the worst I've had in several years anywhere. It didn't seem like it had been cooked all the way and tasted slightly strange. Service was pretty good overall and a decent atmosphere.
