Normally the service is average or a little better, but the last two times have taken way to long to get drinks and refills.
Three colleagues and I met here for lunch due to the proximity to our office. We were quickly seated near the back of the restaurant where it was quiet and easy to talk. Our drink and food orders were taken soon after we sat down and both arrived in quickly. My chicken sandwich and generous serving of fries was very fresh and flavourful. Our server was courteous and attentive throughout our lunch. I would definitely return to Salklik for lunch again.
The service was something that really stands out at Saltlik. The hostess, waiter, and manager were very friendly, and very concerned about our experience at the restaurant, and we were just having lunch there on a Monday, not a special occasion at all. Very stylish ambiance, but a little bit too noisy; they have a choice of bar, patio and dining areas - we were at the last one. Price was was fair for the quality of food and serving size. I will definitely come back.
Fantastic food, great service, great location - what more can I say .... We intend to go back very soon .... Great room to rent for private occasions ...
the food is fine but nothing out of the ordinary. the wine list is OK. it simply isn't worth the price tag though, for the moderately good steak. better to spend an extra $10 per steak and move up to one of the primo steak houses downtown.
Having come to this restaurant in the past I was again pleased wiht the friendly, welcoming and service oriented staff. I must say I was let down by the food this time. The steak was just that, a steak, nothing special nowhere close to a WOW. For a steak specialty restaurant I would expect a WOW - at $30+ I have that expectation. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the meat was excellent. One of the best I've had in Calgary.
The food was good but the service was just ok. I did expect better service and attention. Thanks!
A group of us went for lunch at Saltlk during a weekday lunch hour and the service was extremely slow. It took over 30-40 mins for us to receive our food, which was fairly mediocre.
