TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Angelo catered to me during my visit. He was exceptional! 10/10. Food was fresh. I ordered the reaper thinking it wasn’t going to be spicy but mind you it was HOT! My mouth was on fire. It was a great experience. Only downside was the restaurant is small so there wasn’t much seating availability.
We ordered through uber eats. The delivery just took 10mins and the fries were soggy when it came. I ordered hot chicken sandwich but it wasn’t spicy at all, it’s actually pretty salty. The Kaleslaw was okay, a bit too pricy for the portion. I also ordered the mini chicken sandwich for my daughter and she liked it(this one is not as salty as the hot chicken sandwich). Ordered the 10 piece box in mild and it was really salty. They need to get a better soda dispenser. There was ice all over the place.
The chicken here is definitely amazing. My first time here and it didn't disappoint, the chicken is flavorful and not dried out. The seasoning on their normal fries is delicious as well. I got the combo that had the slider, tender, and fries so I could try everything. My problem is the service. I went at lunchtime and it was not busy. It was my first time trying Dave’s Hot Chicken, and I was definitely surprised with how good the chicken was! I did wait a long time for my food, but I would definitely try it again if I’m ever in the area
