Always consistent, this Cold Spring Harbor mainstay with chic, yet comfortable decor never disappoints. The menu offers just the right blend of gourmet with traditional tastings. Management and staff go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated.
All was going so well but then when we completed dinner, we were asked about dessert which we ordered. We were not asked if we wanted tea or coffee. And then it took extremely long to actually have the dessert deli to our table. It was about another 15-20 minutes. Then it took longer to receive the check. All in all very good food, atmosphere just needed to close the deal with dessert and payment. I would return for sure.
The overall experience was terrific. The ambience and staff was warm and inviting, the food delicious and in a popular spot where all tables were filled, the noise level was surprisingly low.
Thank you for a great dining experience the food was great portions were adequate and our server Edwin was attentive to our requests. Looking forward to coming again
This restaurant is in nestled in a charming little town on the north shore of long island. At one end of the block there is a small little park nestled near the waters edge. We were greeted immediately, and the bar was busy. The dining room was beautifully decorated. The menu had a large selection of fish items yet has poultry, meat and vegetartian items too. I had a wonderful meal and the service was good. I definitely suggest making a reservation and its well worth the trip. Enjoy!
Dined at Sandbar last evening and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We had a reservation and were warmly greeted by the hostess upon our arrival. When we arrived our dining companions were enjoying drinks at the bar and our hostess assured us that our table was available. We were seated in a lovely corner banquette and our server was quick to bring water, bread and take our drink orders. The food was delicious and we especially enjoyed the spicy tuna crispy rice appetizer, the salad, and the duck tacos. Our entree of Atlant... read more
One of our favorite restaurants to start with and we went on a weeknight during restaurant week, so a meal that usually runs well over $125 for two cost under $100 - a definite bargain. We both had the duck tacos appetizer - always a winner. Usually we order fish/seafood, but tis time we ordered the Waygu bolognaise (delicious and a very large portion) and the steak frites (which was perfectly cooked and really tender). We both had the chocolate lava Cake for dessert, which was more like a very rich brownie topped with ice c... read more
Restaurant week and the choices for value were disappoint. I think the regular menu would gave been much better - far less food with restaurant week menu and not much less expensive. Complete rip off
Went for restaurant week. The place is gorgeous, service was top-notch. Every item we ordered, spicy tuna and chickpea fries appetizers, cod and salmon entrees, and creme brulee and donuts were beyond delicious. I ate more than I should have because it was that good! What a find!
