Not only is this restaurant beautiful, it makes you feel like you are on vacation. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the ambiance was spectacular. The sandbar salad was very crisp and perfect. The lobster pot pie was amazing and the clams and Caesar salad were terrific. The fresh bread was warm and delicious too. Excellent food and service. Our go to restaurant in Long Island
Sandbar was our go to place whenever we feel like pampering ourselves. Good food, good service, good atmosphere. But the food quality seems to be going downhill year after year, especially after the Covid close down. The raw oyster was the worst we've ever had. The mussels were tiny and lot of them have sand in it. The duck breast was raw to the point that we could not even cut it apart. The ginger in the tuna tartar were almost in cube size. Wine was excellent, the staff was excellent. I agree with another comment about the bread...tough. The food presentation was beautiful. I found my dishes to be under flavored. I would still return to try something else.

We had a great experience. One of the best martinis I've ever had and the service was amazing!
as always, Sandbar did not disappoint much. Food is always excellent, the wait staff just friendly enough, and never rushing patrons along. My only quibble is with the Strawberry Shortcake, which included a biscuit base that was too hard and dry to cut with a fork, had mushy berries and scant whipped cream. That particular dessert should be an extravagant delight, and this one isn't. Luckily, the coffee was so good I was not totally unhappy at dessert!
