RecommendedSarasota grew up around this .... it was a wonderful place to educate children & the public about these species. Has "progress" damaged the SJG? What is the quality of life for the "residents"? Tragic - the original sign was deemed out of code & replaced. Yes - Mote & Dale Shields avian rehab are awesome.
RecommendedI have come back every time I am in Sarasota for years. It's perfect for kids. It's not too pricey. It's less animals than a zoo but much more intimate with the ones they have. One of my favorite spots to come!!!

RecommendedLove this place! Our 3 year old loved the petting zoo and feeding the flamingos. And there is a cool jungle path that leads to each exhibit. Great time!
