RecommendedSarasota grew up around this .... it was a wonderful place to educate children & the public about these species. Has "progress" damaged the SJG? What is the quality of life for the "residents"? Tragic - the original sign was deemed out of code & replaced. Yes - Mote & Dale Shields avian rehab are awesome.
I have come back every time I am in Sarasota for years. It's perfect for kids. It's not too pricey. It's less animals than a zoo but much more intimate with the ones they have. One of my favorite spots to come!!!
Worth every penny especially seeing the big smile on my grandsons face while feeding the Flamingos! Highly recommended!
Love this place! Our 3 year old loved the petting zoo and feeding the flamingos. And there is a cool jungle path that leads to each exhibit. Great time!
Great enviroment, jungle themed park with a lot of cool birds and a few cool reptiles and turtles! The staff were great and very friendly. I still think it's a little overpriced...
Great place. My daughter and me had a lot of fun looking around and feeding the different animals. Recommended.
