I started immunotherapy for indoor and outdoor allergies at Dr. Bassett's Park Avenue office back in April 2008. At that point, I was constantly congested, had acid indigestion every day, severe headaches and had 6 sinus infections over a period of 16 months... I basically couldn't live my life: couldn't fly, could hardly tolerate alcohol, etc... Didn't go well I will never ever go to these People of greed,I made an appointment to the Hudson St in Jersey city Office dermatologist and the day of my appointment I called to canceled and a week after I get a bill of $50 for canceling due to me not canceling ahead of time not on the day of appointment I had to cancel a few days before my my appointment which I was unaware and which I later saw on their policy of canceling an appointment ,I feel it's greed

Came in to get allergy tested in February 2022. Was charged the $50 visit fee. Was not told anything about not taking any medication before my appt. Note that the over-the-counter medication I was taking was not working, which is the reason why the visit. Nothing happened when we did the skin prick tests so I had to come back. This place tried to charge me $50 once again for a visit. I explained that I was never informed I needed to stop any allergy meds at least 3 days prior. The doctors and nurses here are wonderful -- rather, this 1-star review goes to the billing department for their A+ incompetence. Despite signing a Credit Card Policy that says the office will provide a statement of charges and submit claims to your insurance upon charging your card, this office has continually charged my card without sending any statement of charges. Do not go here. I have been allergy tested before, and have a few allergies. I wanted to get tested again as more allergies have popped up in my family over the past few years and new reactions have occurred with me. First they were doubting my sister's gluten allergy even though she has been tested and has an epipen. They then were trying to deny me a test. I went to see Dr Kaza for my toddler. She asked a thorough history but was VERY RUDE and condescending when questioned about her route of treatment. And when asked if she would do an allergy test, she rolled her eyes and said " i dont have time for that. did this as a favor to your friend (who referred me) and i have 5 patients waiting for me" so i put on my jacket to get ready to leave and asked if she wanted us to wait outside. I'll begin the review by saying that my experience with Dr. Bassett himself was excellent. He was thorough, spent time both explaining and listening, offered some insightful advice that no other doctor had offered, and gave me confidence that I'd get good care. As for the negatives: The wait time is between 40 minutes and over an hour to be seen if you arrive at appointment time. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! I made an appointment at this place and specifically told them it was to get a food testing done. I told them I would pay out of pocket and was told it would be cost $250. After my 45 min consultation, I was charged $750. I explained that I was told, over the phone, that it would cost $250. They found no better excuse than claiming that it was $250 for the consultation and that the testing was an additional $500. I have been going to Dr Bassett for several years for allergies and asthma. Dr Bassetts care has been good. He has diagnosed me correctly and provided proper medication. My first few visits I saw a PA who was wonderful and cared for me so well. It was a pleasure to visit. Somehow I was taken over by another PA who has been a total nightmare.
