WARNING! Do NOT trust this incompetent dermatologist with your skin! I beg you, please, DO NOT go to this terrible doctor for your skin problems. This is one of the most poorly ran and highly unprofessional Medical practices I've ever been to in my life. Not only is the front office and back office staff incompetent and unprofessional so is Dr. Anhalt. This post is long overdue. I called in to Have a Prescription refilled and spoke with one of their incompetent staff members Chloe. Who acted like she had no idea what I was talking about; even though she was the one to help me with Authorization for the prescription. The doctor originally said I had acne. I pushed for another opinion and then he said I had eczema and prescribed a steroid. I went in a month later for a follow up and he shared that it's a life-long condition. I finally went to another doctor who said it was psoriasis and actually took the time to perform a biopsy to confirm it. Needless to say, I found a better dermatologist elsewhere.
An inconsiderate dermatologist who tries to use jokes to hide away that fact. First thing he said when walking into the room is Accutane, I have not even gotten a chance to explain my history with acne and that medication. Will never come here again
Skin cancer is about the scariest health issue that I hope I'll ever face. Dr. Anhalt's bedside manner might not appeal to everyone, but I love his dad jokes. Only someone at the top of their field would ease a patient's fears that way. That's what I want from a doctor: I need an expert who can treat the whole patient, not just a patch of skin.
Like other reviewers have mentioned, Dr Anhalt's manner with patients is not good - appointments feel like he's rushing you through as quickly as possible, without taking any time to address concerns or collect background information. He at times also comes off as hostile and unprofessional. Would not recommend.
Dr Anhalt is an awfully rude man. Patronising, made inappropriate jokes and a complete lack of customer service. also the one simple mole removal he did on me got infected and left a scar. So he is bad at his job and also has the bed side manner of a misanthrope. A lot of other better options in the area both in terms of technical ability as well as manners.
Super effective treatment, knowledgeable and friendly demeanor. Was seen promptly and had a pleasant experience with front desk both checking in and scheduling appointment.
My initial review needs an update because I wrote it while taking prednisolone (that was prescribed by a different doctor) which I happen to not be able to tolerate at all and made me have a variety of issues including insomnia, abdominal pain, weight loss, tachycardia, and extreme irritability. Since coming off of prednisolone I have had a second appointment with Dr. Anhalt to address the skin on my chest and he was wonderful.
