Every time we go, (which has been about 5 times), they make us wait for at least an hour. Also, trying to get the actual Rutherford office on the phone is nearly impossible, you get an operator who will "send a message" to the provider. The NP and doctors are good though once you actually get in but making people wait for an hour to be seen is unacceptable. I am looking into other dermatologists in the neighborhood due to this.
Schweiger Medical Group is the worst medical group I've ever had to deal with. They consistently make errors with in their communication with patients. In all my time I've never encountered so many problems with scheduling appointments or trying to speak directly with a doctor. Dr. Beckett is a wonderful doctor, but the Schweitzer Medical Group staff is totally incompetent. For this reason all future contact with them was canceled with hopes of finding another dermatologist with a staff capable of handling my medical needs.
The worst company overall that I've had to deal with. The office manager was very rude and not understanding what my concern was. She was belittling and didn't care about the matter at hand that I had a problem with. I was in the office 4 times to fix this problem and was seen by 3 different doctors. This (revised) review of Schweiger Derm Group, Rutherford office Billing Department is an update from my initial review. Approximately six (6) weeks after my appointment, I received a statement from the practice requesting a Co-Pay. I knew that my Co-Pay was made at the reception window upon entering the office. MIMI OLIFF canceled my appointment 3 times. (Mind you I've never met this dr before) than they schedule me with Jessica who I've seen before. And they wait to tell me until I get to the office that she doesn't take my insurance. Now I've waisted 4 days. 4 appointments. And today has and time driving in rush hour traffic just for them to send me home FUCK THIS. FUCK THIS PLACE. THEY DONT GIVE A SHIT ABOOT YOUR TIME. THEIR TIME IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOURS. As if gas isn't 5$ a gallon.
I scheduled an appointment with a physician at this practice and found out when I arrived that the physician no longer took my insurance! It's incredible to me that no one could have called me in advance to let me know about this and reschedule to a different physician.
As an update to this experience (or to add insult to injury), I received an invoice from cutisdx, a lab that Schweiger Derm uses but my insurance company does not reimburse. If you need lab work, be sure to be proactive and find out from your insurance company which labs they prefer prior to your appointment. Schweiger will not ask you about this, you must be proactive. Another exhibition of how they serve customers.
Terrible terrible company. Made appointment 2 months ago, got there at 5:30 Dec 21 and found the office was closed but got no notice they would be closed . Called to complain and answering said they were closed. I had an appointment with a certain dr snd also found out she has not worked there for months. Don't go there. Nasty an answering service, bad appointments.
Their customer service is absolutely horrible! It's been 10 days and I've reached out TWICE and was told I would be contacted yet I have still not received a call back for a procedure I was told I need to have. Their patient care is less than one star. Absolutely horrible service and I definitely will NOT be recommending this practice to anyone. They just lost a patient for not being able to provide these simplest of basic customer service
