Get directionsI really like [name removed] the manager of the med techs He returns calls and make sure that my mother has everything that she needs for her medication's. [name removed], who gives mother her medication's in the morning is just such a wonderful person as well The food is OK for her, but she usually eats a sandwich instead of trying some of the specials The people that are there now are very nice

I would recommend to others. We picked them because of the financial assistance.

Thank you Anonymous for your positive recommendation of Scottsdale Village Square! Our team is passionate about providing the best possible experience for all of our residents and their family members, and we are so glad to have achieved that today.
I had to put my grandmother in memory care and she wanted to have her own apartment. This is the only place I could find that could accommodate her needs. They were very nice and the caretakers were very accommodating.

I would recommend it. We picked them because of the option they provided for my father and the price

All was pretty well except management being unresponsive and a lot of turn over. Communication was the worst. I wouldn't recommend now that I see how nice [removed] is. No communication with director or caregiver management. The Caregivers were very good though and even gave their personal cell phone numbers.

Though we appreciate all feedback. Scottsdale Village Square has no authority here. This review should be redirected to Oxford Health, as they provide the Skilled Nursing services at this location.
Everyone we met at the facility went out of their way to help in any way they could to get my mom who has dementia into the facility. They were kind to my mom and made sure at every step of the way that her comfort, care and needs came first. As stressful a situation it was having to move my mom into assisted living, they helped not just my mom, but our whole family with the process. We feel confident that my mom is in good hands.

Craig, thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a positive review, we’re so happy to hear you’ve had a great experience at Scottsdale Village Square.
They are very short staffed. The staff they do have are wonderful, but even with hospice, he's eating off of dirty dishes in his room unless I come and wash them. They aren't able to get him to shower so he and his room smell all the time. I'm very frustrated and believe he may need to be somewhere with total care.
They have recently been bought by another owner and now have a new activity director and nurse coordinator (they didn't have one of their own for several months and were making errors). The quality of care has improved since then. My parents chose this one over several others because their front door opens to a green space; just like a regular condo or apartment and they've been allowed to make minor customizations to the interior and garden space in front of their apartment to feel like their home.

I can’t really say much because my mom was only there a short time. I was frustrated when I need to get a hold of someone when I needed them to check on her. It also happened when we were moving out of her belongings we couldn’t get an employee to unlock gate for us. The few times we ate there the food was good. I feel like it’s a better place for a senior with more independence. Maybe not so much for someone with advanced Alzheimer’s as in my mom’s case.
