They were chosen because the rooms felt more apartment like. The grounds are pretty and the apartments open to the outdoors as opposed to a hotel or institutional feel. My biggest complaint is that no one, in either the financial or medical departments have ever, ever returned my phone calls. I placed a call initially with medical regarding questions having to do with coordinating medication since the pharmacy used did not provide everything. The staff here are extremely friendly. The residents have great care provided for them on the units in the facility. The people I have worked with are caring and proactive to all situations that occur. The Executive Director [name removed] is great and personable.

Overall, it is a good place for our loved one. The staff are friendly. The food is good and he enjoys the dining hall. It's clean, the apartment is nice, and he is well cared for. The value seems about average. It would be cheaper for a person who did not require as much care. The caregivers themselves are great, but the communication and lack of staff have at times been an issue. When he first arrived, it seemed that there had been a large staff turnover. The staff members are very very good, especially the girl [name removed] who helped us out with the admissions- she has been great to work with and we can reach out to her for anything if we have any questions or concerns. Also our loved ones caregivers are good. The meals however really need improvement, our loved one pays for three meals a day and she maybe goes down for one meal. It is a nice community but the quality of the meals need to be better.

They are making an effort to improve activities, and ask for resident input on the activities they offer. One of the things I really like about the facility is the green space. The greatest feature however, is that when my mother needs to move Into the memory care section, the set-up is the same one-bedroom floor plan that she has in assisted living. The continuity is important and has a more caring feel than the hospital aesthetic you may see in other places.
