My loan is currently still a mess. The finance company sent ME three of the account checks made out to different companies. My loan closed but I have accounts that are still pulling from my account and nothing has registered that they have yet been paid. I had $12,000 worth of checks floating around on my porch in a water-soaked envelope from Empower Settlement Services (which required NO signature) along with a letter--part of which was written in pen--that said they assumed no liability and weren't responsible for the c... read more

Things kept popping up that kept delaying the loan, that should have been handled early on. And the amount of money I wanted to have as a cash out refi was not the same I received less money than originally I asked for.

Closing left much to be desired. There were delays from NAF's end, closed a week later than planned, and then it still took more than a week to get funds disbrused. Shelley was great to work with, but the final closing process was very disappointing.

There were some problems not with Shelley but someone (can't remember the name) because she obviously didn't know laws regarding probate in Texas.
