Excellent food great service beautiful view
We had come here before for the brunch, which was excellent. Dinner was disappointing. My husband’s flounder was overcooked and managed to be simultaneously dry and watery. My shrimp and grits came with the tails still on the shrimp … Very nice cheese grits but I’m not sure cheese grits are a good pairing for a spicy sauce. The sauce was very nice too but I could have done with more sauce and less grits. (The best shrimp and grits I’ve had so far was at Alexander’s.) Oh and the hush puppies were … terrible! What a wonderful experience we had at Ela's on the Water...it was a night before Hurricane Nicole and it was such a beautiful spot in the marina...we were greeted with a smile...the food was outstanding...we started with fried green tomatoes which one of us had never tried and they were outstanding! I thought the grits were great but the shrimp were previously frozen and ordinary. The others in our group thought their dinners were great.
A lovely evening with great food and service.
Me and mother went for my birthday and everything was great even the complementary bread! We had the filet mignon and the surf and turf. Was given a complementary cake for my birthday! Highly recommend the strawberry cake! Will definitely come back when we’re here next year!
