We had dinner here for my wife's 40th birthday. The ambiance was great. We had an outdoor table on a rainy night and it was still a great experience on the covered patio.
My husband and I ordered 5 appetizers (one to share) and the portions were ample and delicious. Lobster Bisque and Seafood Gumbo soups were both wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed the enormous Prince Edward Island mussels and the slightly spicy garlic tomato broth appetizer. My husband loved his crab stack with vegetables. Get there early - parking can be a challenge. Ask to be seated upstairs when making reservations - water view is a must!
We had a great experience dining with friends. Everything that was ordered was excellent. We will be back!
Went to celebrate our honeymoon! They very generously gave us a glass each of champagne (we think, we don’t normally drink alcohol lol) amazing food and great view

ELA'S On The Water is always dependable and the food is excellent. We have a 2nd home here in Hilton Head and this is always our favorite restaurant to come to! It is very efficient and the servers are also well trained. Food is always top quality and has a very nice variety. The atmosphere is festive but not noisy.
Our waiter was fantastic!! It was a little chilly sitting outside but the heaters helped. We sat next to a somewhat obnoxious guy which was distracting!!
Server-Karen was knowledgeable about overall menu, specials and great recommendations. Great appetizer selection and sides. Wine selection and drink offerings very good. Food was top quality, hot and great presentation. Desserts were enticing but great meal left us with no room. We’ll be back real soon. Started with Lobster bisque and tuna tartare-both excellent, gone too fast for photo’s. Ribeye bone in and lobster meals with risotto and ribeye over mash and broccolini excellent.
Food was outstanding. My wife and I both had the fillet mignon which was cooked to perfection. Try the key lime pie. Best ever.
