one of Hilton Head Island's best harbor/water views. Very good food and our server Andre was professional and pleasant. Most had fish entrees and these were cooked perfectly.
The Caprese salad was swimming in oil and balsamic, pretty inedible. The scallop dish had 3 small scallops.
Food was very good, but host was not friendly or very accommodating when asked if we could seat at table away from singer. He said, this is the table you booked on open table, which is not accurate, the options were high top or standard and there were several other high tops available. While the singer was awesome we didn’t want to be that close, we couldn’t even hear our own conversation.
We had to move our reservation a little later due to traffic on our way in to HH, but we were easily accommodated; had a lovely table outside as requested and friendly, prompt service. Not to mention fabulous food!
Lovely setting in Shelter cover. The food was delicious. Service was terrific.
Ela’s has a wonderful outdoor ambience set upstairs overlooking the harbor. Almost European looking. The lobster bisque soup was excellent as was the Cobia fish, which we had never had before. Asparagus was kind of mushy and hard to cut. Dessert was excellent! Nice touch to present us with champagne to toast our anniversary. Carla was a lovely waitress. Biggest issue.: parking!!!! You need to fix that!! We would come again. Also just a bit overpriced!
The food at Ela’s was very good. The beet salad and honey lime shrimp had lovely presentation and great flavors. The oysters, risotto and scampi pasta very very good. Our waitress was super nice and friendly. A different person brought out our food and just dumped it on the table (not even in front of me and walked away. We ate outside due to Covid concerns. The train for kids from Shelter Cove keeps driving by ringing its loud bells which gets annoying over dinner. Our table had constant people traffic exiting and entering ... read more
Everything was just ok. Nothing really stood out for our group. We enjoyed the shrimp appetizer. The charcuterie was safe (three hard salami, maybe two basic cheddar, possibly a parm and too many complementary items, three crackers, etc). The grouper was well cooked but not very flavorful and the wild rice base was bland. The pasta primavera Vera was too low on pasta to veg ratio. The kids did not enjoy their basic tenders and Mac and cheese and they were very overpriced ($14 for elbow noodles drowning cheese sauce). One of ... read more
