Our server was wonderful and very friendly. Food came out very fast but it just was not good. We ordered many things off of the menu and it was just all very…meh.
Our new FAV on HHI. Get there, devour the fried oysters, Classic Shrimp Cocktail. Fresh Sea Scallops over risotto, and save room for Key Lime Pie. Oh yeah, also try their Lobster over Lobster risotto, they do all the work except place the succulent crustacean in your mouth. You'll go back again soon.
We had a wonderful meal at Ela’s. The crab cake was great and so was the tuna tartare. The salmon Rockefeller was fabulous as was the bone in ribeye. Our sons got the short rib and liked it but it was a bit smoky of a flavor.
Pros: the chef is excellent, food was prepared well and tasted great! Cons: management runs the place like a NYC dinner, no personality, cold and uncaring. Tables for two are very limited and poorly placed with limited views and oddly positioned. Would not recommend this restaurant for “couples” for a special event as the staff will not make you feel welcome and the table you will be given will be oddly placed in the restaurant. My experience was disappointing at best.
This was our first time dining at Ela's but it wont be the last! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they surprised us with complementary champagne. Dinner was delicious, the variety of fresh seafood is sure to please. Having been in HHI for 6 nights already, I was experiencing a bit of seafood overload and went for the ribeye, boy am I glad I did!
