Service and food were quite good, but not quite as good as it was a year ago. That having been said, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. At first we were a little upset at being seated quite close to the bar, but then realized it was because one of us used a walker. Most of the restaurant is accessed by stairs, so this was done as a courtesy -- very much appreciated. Will definitely return next year.
We were celebrating an evening with old friends from out of town. Ella’s On the Water gave us a memorable experience.

We were in town for a conference and it was suggested we make dinner reservations ahead of time. I turned to Open Table to look for something a little special for our weekend away, and found Ela's. It was tucked away on the marina and after the sun went down, the twinkling lights on the boats added to the ambiance. The pork chop and scallops were both outstanding and Karen was a fantastic server.
The atmosphere overlooking the marina was breathtaking. The service was superb. The food was spectacular. Our favorite restaurant in HHI

Food and ambience was outstanding! I decided on their nightly special, which was a blackened swordfish with a delicious pineapple salsa. It was complemented with a crab risotto and sautéed broccolini. Swordfish was cooked to perfection and was excellent.
