Thanks to André for excellent service. My party especially loved the braised ribs and the crab cakes.
I had noted on my reservation we were celebrating our anniversary. We were greeted by the hostess who wished us a happy anniversary as did the entire staff. I also requested a special table with a view and they accommodated us on that too, they also gave us a complimentary class of champagne. Food was outstanding as was the service the entire staff was great. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion but certainly for a special occasion thanks to all at Ella's

Food was amazing and service was great. Didn’t care for where they seated us. We requested by a window to overlook the harbor.
Great views and atmosphere but food was disappointing. Mussels had no meat but rather mush. Our daughter was embarrassed to send it back so didn’t. Good prices but quality food was expected. Crab cakes were good. Salmon was good. Wedge salad was small so two sizes should be offered. Service was good. We won’t go back during our yearly visit to Hilton Head.
We ordered the fried shrimp appetizer, and the crab stack and the scallops over risotto and the pasta with seafood. All of the dishes were excellent. Our server was very pleasant. We sat close to the musician, and could easily still hold a conversation (not too loud). That was our 3rd visit and each time was consistently very good.
We ate there twice in the same week. The food was great the 1st time: amazing crab cake appetizer and scallops for the main course so we decided to return to have the crab cakes as a main course because the appetizer version had been so good (moist, full of lump crabmeat). The 2nd time we were very disappointed with the main course version; the crab cakes were overcooked, dry, and with little lump meat.
