By far the best new restaurant on the island...even though its been open for almost a year, I still consider it to be new to our island. The atmosphere, views, and food are consistently perfect along with great service...(good, clean looking staff)... Price may be on the higher side for some, but if you want quality for your buck then this is by far the spot...The strip steak and scallops are amazing, as well as the calamari. Visotong for birthday and an anniversary. Couldn't have asked for anything more!!!! A true 5 star dining experience!
Great little place, tucked away with beautiful views. Diver scallops and the fried grouper was absolutely amazing. The osysters on the half shell we superb and fresh as I have ever have. Great place for that "special" dinner.
Very nice restaurant with great views. A la carte type menu was the only negative for us. So salads and starch had to be ordered seperatly. The was live music on Friday night consiting of a one man band that was nice suprise. We would go back again.
Food was a little pricey. Soft shell crab should have had a veggie included for $30. Waitress recommended a Portugal VINE wine that was excellent for $28 a bottle. Next time we would ask to be seated OUTSIDE.
Ela's was by far the best dining experience we had in our visit to Hilton Head. From the food, service, views and great wine selections, everything was outstanding. It is hard to imagine why some people would complain about a restaurant being out of fresh seafood on a sunday night. If that is your only issue, I would suggest you eat at any of the many restaurants that are happy to save money and ensure quantity by loading up on cheaper frozen fish. The food was really hot which was really nice. I wish they would have more options on the kids menu. We know most kids can be pickey eaters, but our daughter is not one of them and really likes real food. Mac and cheese and chicken fingers don't cut it. We had to order her the filet and it was a little over cooked. We really like Red Fish because they have all the traditional kid items along with a beef and potato option. Ela's could add some type of fresh fish to the kids menu.
We were ending our vacation & looked for a great new place to dine. The menu/location looked great online. We were seated quickly on the outside balcony, but then the experience went south. The waitress informed us that both dishes that were on the menu that we came for were out. No grilled lobster or Mahi-Mahi. We were seated before 8pm & they were already out :( Not an isolated problem since many other reviewers had the same issue.
