BEWARE: if you want to be treated by a place that hires crooks and thieves to run around pinching personal items, then shirley ryan ability lab is for you! my moms phone was stolen during her inpatient rehab stay while she was unable to walk and fend for herself- completely taken advantage of. I also personally know other former patients that also experienced the same issue of person items (mainly phones) somehow going “missing” while they were out of the room and in the rehabilitation lab. If you are going to be doing inpatient therapies avoid this place at all costs. The nursing staff is some of the worst I have ever seen. There are 2 PCTs on the 23rd floor, Michelle and Joy, that were incredible and genuinely cared about the job that they were doing. As for everyone else it was awful. The therapy is great and I thank all of the therapists that helped my mom while she was there but will never recommend inpatient at Shirley Ryan to anyone!
