I have gone to Short Pump Animal Hospital for many years as I am in rescue. Both my rescues as well as my personal pets receive the same care from the same veterinarians. I always feel welcome with the staff as well as the veterinarians & I know my furbabies are getting the best care.

I love these amazing vets and staff. They are the best, they give my dogs excellent care. Over the last 8 years they've made sure my dogs' health comes first, and when needed they squeezed them into the schedule. Dr. Christine always explains her diagnoses and treatments, she's super honest about when conservative treatment is necessary and when to treat-and-watch. Although I haven't tried other vets, SPAH has exceeded my expectations. The vets are so loving to my pet. They care so much and follow up with phone calls to see how my dog is doing. They are reasonably priced but keep in mind, many times they do same day or immediate appointments. So it's ok if they charge a little more. I can't imagine finding a better location too. This vet was recommended by a friend who had a dog with special needs. I am a new owner of a puppy and decided to make an appointment. I have to say... They have such professional, caring, intelligent staff working there that truly care. I am so impressed and appreciative of such a great referral. They are very informative and answered so many of my questions. I highly recommend.

I've been taking my Greyhound to SPAH for about a year now. The staff is great and Dr. Hickey and Dr. Morlino are fantastic.

I absolutely Love Dr Hickey and Dr. Morlino! They are both so knowledgeable, professional, passionate and caring! Dr. Hickey has so much experience to draw from.. he was able to diagnose my rescue puppy's strangles just by looking at him... and helped him to a quick easy recovery with out a lot of expense! Dr. Morlino takes care of my rescue turtles and has no hesitation when asked to handle challenging cases! I Love This Vet!

I used to take my dog here when I lived in Richmond, and I couldn't be happier with the care he received. The vets were knowledgable and incredibly helpful in educating me about my dog's illnesses and treatment, and my dog got so much love and attention during our visits that he would drag me to the front door in his excitement to see everyone! Best vet in the Richmond area, hands down!

Horrible customer service, horrible pet handing horrible treatment. I took my dog for an ear infection. It took 5 visits including 4 cytology tests and finally a culture to determine the cause. Nearly $800 of treatment. They never tell me the bill/cost up front. They'll take your dog into the office as not let you go in with them..and bring your dog back looking exhausted as if it got in a fight.

The LVT manager, practice manager is the most rude person in the entire world and called me out as a liar and a psycho because I used to go to a clinic where she worked. It is deplorable the way she treated me and then she accused me of all kinds of garbage, I immediately transferred after going there twice after dealing with the most contentious awful staff and it's sad because the doctor was really cool.
