This vet was recommended by a friend who had a dog with special needs. I am a new owner of a puppy and decided to make an appointment. I have to say... They have such professional, caring, intelligent staff working there that truly care. I am so impressed and appreciative of such a great referral. They are very informative and answered so many of my questions. I highly recommend.
I've been taking my Greyhound to SPAH for about a year now. The staff is great and Dr. Hickey and Dr. Morlino are fantastic.
I absolutely Love Dr Hickey and Dr. Morlino! They are both so knowledgeable, professional, passionate and caring! Dr. Hickey has so much experience to draw from.. he was able to diagnose my rescue puppy's strangles just by looking at him... and helped him to a quick easy recovery with out a lot of expense! Dr. Morlino takes care of my rescue turtles and has no hesitation when asked to handle challenging cases! I Love This Vet!
I used to take my dog here when I lived in Richmond, and I couldn't be happier with the care he received. The vets were knowledgable and incredibly helpful in educating me about my dog's illnesses and treatment, and my dog got so much love and attention during our visits that he would drag me to the front door in his excitement to see everyone! Best vet in the Richmond area, hands down!
Horrible customer service, horrible pet handing horrible treatment. I took my dog for an ear infection. It took 5 visits including 4 cytology tests and finally a culture to determine the cause. Nearly $800 of treatment. They never tell me the bill/cost up front. They'll take your dog into the office as not let you go in with them..and bring your dog back looking exhausted as if it got in a fight.

The LVT manager, practice manager is the most rude person in the entire world and called me out as a liar and a psycho because I used to go to a clinic where she worked. It is deplorable the way she treated me and then she accused me of all kinds of garbage, I immediately transferred after going there twice after dealing with the most contentious awful staff and it's sad because the doctor was really cool. The vets are amazing but the front desk staff is not kind and very unprofessional. I won't be coming back. The front desk staff treats people like trash

I'm sorry that you felt mistreated but with at least 8 no shows and several last minute cancellations for vet visits, as well as grooming appointments that you scheduled, we could not continue the pattern. We felt it was fair to ask for a deposit for the next grooming appointment. the service was nice, but the payment part was overwhelmed. I never pay over $300 for normal 6 months check up better find somewhere cheaper, this is way to much!!!!
We have been bringing our family pets here for years. Unfortunately, after a recent bad experience we will not be coming back.
