I knew my cat was sick and that she needed to be humanely euthanized. I did not want her to ever endure any pain and I wanted her to go peacefully like she deserved. However, at Silverthorn Animal Clinic it was the exact opposite for my poor sweet baby. I was told the Doctor was in surgery and when he was done, he would come see me and my cat Patty. I should be on the payroll with the amount of work I had to do to get this office to refill prescriptions. The last straw was calling for a refill on a Tuesday, then Thursday and now Friday for my dogs Lasix that he ran out of YESTERDAY and was just told that he needs to come in for bloodwork before they can be refilled. If this office had any clue what they were doing, they would have scheduled this with his last refill and let us know it wouldn’t be refilled until he had it done, but instead they think it’s ok for a dog wi... read more

Well as follow up on our last experience I waited a while to post. Dr Johnson asked us to come back for a third chance. We bit, big mistake. “ he forgave” our progesterone bill they never called us on, then charged extra on the next bill. Funny that Dr Johnson wanted to quote us on a c section, every vet for reproduction is $700-$800 for a c section, my nearest regular vet is $1200, but Silverthorns Breeders deal .....$3500. Worst vet in Florida

I find the front desk staff rude and unfriendly both on the phone and in person. Will be finding another vet which is a shame as its on my doorstep. And I find their prices ridiculously high.

I am sure a lot of people experience wonderful treatment with their pets at Silverthorn Animal Clinic and Dr. Johnson and Dr. Smith are professional at what they do. My favorite pet (Benny) is dying soon and recently came across an yeast infection due to Oatmeal Shampoo. I want to make him comfortable towards the end of his life. I felt that I was put aside when I needed medication to treat the yeast. Of course the story is the Doctor must see him before prescribing the medicine he needed.The cost to see a doctor is $41 and ... read more
