Dr. B. was by far the best doctor I had he was very nice and spend a lot of time with me during my vist. He also delivered my baby. He stayed after and talked to me and told me what I needed to know. But, when I went to for 20 week sono they told me everything was fine. About 5 weeks later Dr. Simmonds called and left me a message saying on my 20 week sono they found something that we needed to discuss. When i called him back he never returned my call. The Damascus Office seems to be the most professional, courteous and kind thanks in parf to its office staff and nurses. The doctors seem to have definite strengths and weaknesses depending upon the purpose of your visit. For instance, Dr. Martin has a wonderful demeanor for office visits, prenatal appointments; Dr. Bernstein was rather rough with the final prenatal visits, but he did a great job with delivery (patient, calm yet on task); Dr. Simmonds was horrible with prenatal visits. First, Dr. Bernstien is the best doctor in this practice. He is warm and spends as much time during the visit as needed; I never once felt rushed by him. On the other hand, I always felt rushed by most of the other doctors. Dr. Simmonds was my least favorite, in fact he was so rude and cold that even my husband was upset. I also had a bad experience with the doctor that delivered my baby, she came in once to see me prior to pushing. I thought my nurse was going to deliver my baby and she almost did. I had my first and only baby with them 3 years ago. Every check-up felt rushed every single one of the doctors except for Dr. Bernstein, who was not only patient, but very personable and kind. I was very lucky that he was the one on duty when I went into the hospital to have my baby. Ironically, the doctor I liked the least was this practice's namesake, Dr. Simmonds. Dr. Albert Simmonds has been "my doctor" since he took over this practice. He has been a truly professional doctor, a thorough practitioner and a consoling and upbuilding influence in my life. He has gone beyond the bounds of his practice to facilitate my medical needs without regard for the protection of his "time". He is incredible as a practitioner and as a Human Being. I am grateful for people with his integrity.
I love this practice. I would highly recommended it. I have been seeing them for five years and they delivered two of my three children. They are great.
They are great. Love this office. I like most of the doctors in this practice.
My appointment was at 8:20. I got there at 8:00, like they told me to fill out paperwork. I fill out the forms and they take me to the back room...where I sit until 9am. I hear Dr. Skinner THE ENTIRE TIME...because the walls are incredibly thin! She's laughing and talking with other people about unrelated work things. Then I hear someone come by and say "hey DR. Skinner!...we're doing interviews " yadda yadda. There was a male dr. giving someone a tour of the facility when I arrived. Then I hear Dr. Skinner go INTO an office... read more
Angela Jones and her group encapsulate everything that is wrong with our medical system today. No compassion, no accountability, no interest in anything beyond churning out patients to make a buck. Shameful behavior, all around. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Angela or anyone working in the Simmonds, Martin, and Helmbrecht group. Don’t become their next unsuspecting victim.
