These homes are not built to last. My Smith Douglas Home was built in 2018 here in The Villages at Walnut Creek community. Had at least two sewer pipe collapses in my front yard before I could close on my home, third failure was luckily in first year of warranty after I moved in. Exterior trim paint failed within 4 years, had to come out of pocket for repaint. Finishing nails weren’t used on roof trim so they’re nicely exposed every few inches in the white trim paint 😒. Love my little house, I have been a Realtor for many years an Smith Douglas is the best of the best in good basic homes! They really know what the consumer needs and wants!
Awful work. They rush to put up townhomes then leave stuff looking like crap. Don’t even try to put in a warranty claim because they will blow you off or make up an excuse as to why they won’t cover it. This damage in pictures is from being in a brand new build after just 5 months. 10/10 do not do business with them!
From the initial sales contract to the closing table, the Smith Douglas family and preferred vendors were phenomenal! Stacey at Duncan Farms is a gem, and my agent and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her. Builder has quality homes at great rates, our experience was fast, no fillers, truthful and helpful. Dale was our sales office employee we met at S&D, dale was very helpful and always easy to get ahold of. We got the features we wanted on our house even after it was finished with no issues. House was inspected twice and each time things were fixed and the builder made sure we noticed the before and after fixing things we were always in the loop when going through the buying process with S&D homes.
