Went to this place for routing screening. This is 100% covered under all insurance plans. What they did not tell you is that the radiologist company is out of network. They billed me $440. They are horrible. My insurance says they paid the bill because this review is not billed separately. I know the insurance is correct because I have never received a bill from Memorial Hermann. This is a deceptive and goes against consumer rights. Stay away.

I went this place for a routine screening mammogram as part of annual checkup. Now I am getting a bill for an out-of-network radiologist which I had not given the consent to use. I did the same mammogram last year and I have not gotten the bill for using out-of-network radiologist. They started this sneaky thing this year. The way this place do business is NOT honest. I do not recommend this place!!

Went here for a routine screening mammogram, which is covered 100% by my insurance. The facility is fine, but I am now being billed for an out-of-network radiologist. The facility is in-network, but somehow the radiologist who read my images was out-of-network. So I get a statement for $32 that I have to pay out-of-pocket, or fight with Solis and insurance to have it covered. I would rate a 0 star, if I could. Ironically, I saw Laurie E's review prior to my scheduled appointment and made note of it. I asked the Triage Associate who registered me/checked me in about the review and if I would have to pay out-of-pocket fees. She told me No, so I proceeded with the visit. I just received a bill for $995. I AM LIVID! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! I've had the same insurance for over 15 years. Had to pay over $500 out of pocket for a routine mammogram! Stay away! Such a scam! I've had the same insurance for over 10 years but have been going to another hospital for my mammograms until I went to this new location. I have dense tissue and have never had to pay extra. I've always had density or fatty breasts. I had no lumps or any changes that required extra costs. They told me that they would review my previous X-rays from the other facility. If you are needing anything other than preventative care, do yourself and your wallet a favor and go to an independent imaging center. The bills at Solis reflect hospital pricing, which for me, an INSURED patient getting a diagnostic screen, was 200% more than the pricing of another local non-hospital affiliated imaging center. I opted for Solis because it was in network for my insurance, but if I could do it over, I would have gone to an imaging center and just paid cash. Saw my physician as I was concerned about area in my left breast. Dr ordered a diagnostic mammogram. Called Solis scheduling center & was so happy to be given an appointment that same day. Arrived & was taken to an area where an employee asked me for my dr's order. She looked at it & told me 1) the Dr wrote the order 'wrong', 2) no, they cannot get a corrected verbal order on the phone and 3) they "never" do diagnostic mammograms same day they are ordered. The folks I dealt with, in person, were awesome! However, the office staff concerns me greatly. There first letter was held for 7 days (in office) before being mailed. The second letter I received was held for 26 days before being mailed. Contrary to what was sent to me in a not-very-conciliatory email, this is NOT how a health care business should be managed. I will NEVER return as I can't depend upon them to respond in a timely fashion.
