If I could give zero stars I would. This facility should be closed. We completed all of the twenty pages of paperwork, were guaranteed a bed for our daughter, who is in crisis, and they gave away the bed to a walk-in!!! Now we're scrambling to find help for our daughter. The admin staff showed zero empathy, zero accountability, and left us in the cold! Authorities should investigate for closure.

What a nightmare! There is absolutely no emotional support and no treatment. You just sit and sleep. There's no books, no activities, zero exercise. If you go in for depression from chronic pain, get ready to be in twice as much pain. If you're depressed, there treatment is making you sit or lay in your cot with only your thoughts. I'm sure in some instances, that place could cause you to become depressed. You feel like you're in jail. Even if you are voluntary. As a counselor that has worked at an impatient facility for adults and teens back east, Sonora Behavioral Health often markets their facilities to school counselors & the like. Both having visited a friend there and young adults sharing their experiences, I felt it necessary to make a statement that I too, give it a NEGATIVE REVIEW. Does not communicate, provides inaccurate information when they do communicate, no comprehensive treatment plan, not returning calls.

My daughter arrived to this facility on Saturday. I have called daily (today is Wednesday) asking to speak to a provider, which the provider has not returned any of my calls. Additionally, when the nurse did her intake on Saturday, I asked that they communicate to the provider that I wanted a med wash to be completed and for the provider to follow up with me for a more detailed history on my daughters conditions and to coordinate future care for discharge. My son was there for a month two nights before he was transferred to a new facility he was jumped by 6 teens staff broke it up but did not call me to let me know or get him medical attention he has a severe bruising all over and was stomped in the kidneys multiple times. Then they didn't even document it in his file so do not let your child go there I'm diving down the rabbit hole now there has been 3 wrongful deaths there plus I rape of a minor by a staff member

In the beginning I had no problem till the day before my brother was transferred to another facility he was jumped by 6 to 8kids when walking out of his room cause they say he gave them COVID but I was not called and told anything about this or did they get medical treatment for him after worrieds it happening or even docatumat in his chart that it happened

Dirty area, hostile employees, tactics border on coercion, and I wonder how many of the patients who have signed papers to be admitted did so under duress. Terrifying and traumatic experience for both me and the patient, who will unfortunately probably be even more reluctant to seek any kind of help for depression after even 7 hours at Sonora. I can only imagine the extent of the damage to people who get admitted inpatient.
