Absolutely an amazing team of people. We have used SOVSC typically after hours and in urgent situations. They are absolutely the most kind, caring, and passionate people you will encounter in the veterinarian field. In our experience it does cost more for us to use them in these situations. However, since they are a speciality center, and have the medical equipment to find answers faster (like in house lab work or scans), we know the cost is not just because they can but because they have the cost to operate and provide such... read more

I was referred to SOVSC and I am so happy to have found them. The Vet and the Staff are very supportive, kind and helpful. I will continue to travel to this Center. I felt very at ease with my puppy in their care. Dr. Davies explained the condition and all the possible outcomes.

I was sent to Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center by by local vet in Mt. Shasta because my Mini Dachshund had a herniated disk, paralyzing his back legs. She sent my info in ahead and a surgeon was called in, even before I consented to the surgery. They were ready for him when I arrived 2 hours later. He spent about 5 days there with the best care, and as important, loving care. They spoiled him! I was introduced to a vet there who also works in Ashland and does therapy for dogs after surgery. We have had two surgeries for one of our dogs performed here and from appointment set-up, to greeting, to the care given to our animal, to the discharge and follow-up - they do excellent work all around.

Arrived just before 12:30am, they had our dog in seeing the vet by 1:10am, he was out of surgery by 2:30am and heading home by 3am. When we arrived there was about 5 other cars in the parking lot. So, this was extremely fast service. Dre was well taken care of and Dr. Weaver explained everything well. The receptionist staff were friendly and explained the breakdown of costs in depth. I was given an accurate price range for the services provided. Yes, very expensive, but I knew driving in it would be. Of course it's diff... read more
