One of my cats was missing for four days after a visit from my son and four rambunctious kids. I thought he ran off in self protection. Not so, he was somehow injured. Poor baby boy. My regular vet was totally booked and referred me to the emergency vet clinic in Medford. I was on my way. Our beloved 5 year old dachshund had injured his back and had 2 ruptured disks. We were heart broken. Dr. Fugazzi at Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center was fantastic. He took the time with us and Cooper to explain what was wrong, and what he could do in surgery for him. He and the staff kept us informed on our pups progress, welcomed us to come visit while he was in the hospital after surgery. I could not recommend Dr. Fugazzi and the team at SOVSC more highly. When the cancer on our beloved dog, Cricket, came back, our vet recommended that we try to get an appointment at SOVSC as soon as we could. The people at SOCSC could not have been more lovely, and were able to get us a surgery spot for 8 am the following morning. Dr. Fugazzi and his team were awesome. My primary Vet recommended us to SOVSC and called ahead with our chart - by the time we arrived the room was ready and waiting. Earlier that morning our that our dog had lost the use of his back legs and all feeling in his hindquarters. He was in surgery that afternoon and recovery by the early evening. After 6 weeks, 2 different vets, and no improvement I took my dog to see Dr. Fugazzi. He correctly diagnosed the injury and my puppy is on the road to recovery. I felt like I needed to see a specialist and I am very grateful to have SOVSC and their team available to our community!
