When our family founded Southland Sod Farms, we pledged to take whatever extra steps were necessary to cultivate the healthiest, most beautiful sod ever available in Southern California. We’ve been in the sod business for over 40 years now, and even after our initial success, the Gramckow family promise continues to innovate and improve.

Renato was great! He came to see our lawn twice and would have come more if necessary. With his assistance, he helped us turn a sad looking lawn into one that was luscious and green. Renato explained to us exactly how much water the sod needed, when to fertilize, and the best way to mow the lawn. Thank-you ,Renato, for showing such concern about our lawn! Jill and John Ricci

Renato was great! He was so nice on the phone, helping to explain things to me about the problems I was having with my grass. Then he offered to come over to my home and look at my grass to help determine a solution. When he came, he brought me a complimentary bag of their house brand of fertilizer and also a square of sod to demonstrate to me how to replant the large dead/bare area I had in my yard. Renato and staff over at Southland sod Farms again has proven why I’ll pay a little extra when it comes to purchasing sod. This is a business that has it together and has quality people working for them to ensure I purchased the right sod, how to take care of my sod and they always leave it open If I have any questions to reach out to them this is the third time replacing my lawn due to weeds from my neighbors gardeners hopefully the last but should there become a fourth time I will most definitely will use Southland sod Far... read more

I just happened to buy my seed at Southland for planting new grass and knew very little about the proccess, I was given Renato's number and he walked me through the whole proccess and was very patient as I must have called him 10 times throughout. I later had 2 large dogs and gophers that ruined the lawn, so later last year I had to start from scratch and Renato was there for every question as he walked me through the proccess with suggestions once again! Renato is amazing.. I’ve been using Marathon Sod and Seed for decades because it’s a great product. Recently, on a re-seeding project for a house in Ventura, we had no luck. I called the company for advice, and the next day Renato showed up! Mistake on my part in planting, but fast forward, all is fixed, and grass is coming through. This is a great company with awesome customer support. Anything sod or seed related, ask for Renato!
