My two very active and accident prone dogs are so well cared for by Dr. Glowski. It's obvious that the doctors are knowledgeable and care a great deal for their patients and the humans that come with them. The facility is very clean and I like that dogs and cats have separate waiting areas. I've found the pricing to be very fair as well.
I've been searching for a good vet since we moved back to Austin 2 years ago. I never seemed to find the right fit for us. When I went on vacation and my dog got sick, our nanny brought him to Dr. G at SW vet. She was wonderful throughout diagnosing him, and even though we eventually had to put him down (she even came to our house to do that!) I felt like he was truly cared for at the end. When it comes to my 2 rescues, I will get them the best of the best care in the world....until it starts hitting your pocket book. I used to take them to South Park Animal Hospital, run by Dr. Singleton (who is AMAZING!!!), but it got to be too far for a drive for me from where I moved to. I understand the cost of care for animals can be challenging; I think most vets would do this for free if we could, but unfortunately hiring the best of the best does not allow for this. I was so glad to hear Southwest Vet was opening and an extension of/affiliated with South Park Animal Hospital. I had been going to South Park Animal Hospital since I moved to Austin and they're great but I moved out west and it was a bit out of the way. I couldn't be happier with Southwest Vet! I am new to Austin and I was a bit nervous where I should take my dog for his annual visit, I did some research and found Southwest Vet. After reading reviews I called them to set up an appointment, the girl on the phone was very polite and extremely helpful. It was so easy to book and get in on a day that worked for me! I am so happy with this vet and the location is perfect for me. Yesterday I had the unpleasant task of taking a cat needing euthanasia and I appreciated the honesty and support they were willing to provide. I had a 100% positive experience here. The office staff was efficient and very nice. The vet, Dr Kim Glowski, was knowledgeable, kind, and professional. The tech went out of her way to help my terrified dog, who soon relaxed and was fine. The fees were reasonable, and the facility was clean and easy to find. I'm so glad I chose this vet!!
I've always had pets and I've always liked the veterinarian profession as a whole, but Southwest Vet blew my socks off this week! Seriously, it was the best vet experience I've ever had. Fantastic vet. So glad they opened near us when we moved to Austin. They have seen our dog since she is 3 months old. She absolutely loves going to this vet. It doesn't have that sterile animal hospital vibe other vets have. Dr. Glowski gets on the floor and interacts with your dog to do examinations and only uses the table if it's 100% necessary.
