Southwest Vet is the best vet that I've ever been to. I absolutely love their staff. Colleen and Fuuad are always so lovely at the front desk. I trust the knowledge of the vets and they always take great care of my pups. I also own Pups & Pals doggy daycare and boarding facility nearby, and Southwest Vet goes above and beyond to fit us in when we have a pup who needs to be seen. We are very grateful to have a veterinarian practice that we can trust.
Moved to Austin 2 years ago and found myself having to make the difficult decision to put my 17 year old baby to sleep. It was a horrible time but the entire team comforted my Son from the beginning to the end and even sent us a card with his paw prints. Since then we have taken my Daughters cat and my other dog to them for their care. Both had to have several teeth extracted which required us to drop them off. Fuaad is always very helpful at checking in. The prices are about the same as other vets. Dr. Murgatroyd was very thorough and so was Rachel. I recommend this vet for your new pups.
My favorite vet in Austin! I have been to a few different vets around Austin and this is by far the best! My dog is super anxious and does not enjoy the vet but they are always super considerate and gentle with her, making the visit as easy as possible
I cant even begin to say how much I love this vet and their staff. I have been going here for nearly 2 years now and its the best vet I have ever been to. I have had my pets for about 10 years and have lived in a few cities and cant imagine going anywhere else now. The entire team here is so compassionate and caring. We recently had to euthanize two of our dogs and it was our first time through this and their team was incredibly helpful through it. Process: From registering as a new patient, to checking in, to the visit itself, everything ran smoothly and efficiently. Fuaad texted prior to the appointment to get information about the previous vet so they could have that ready for the appointment. I'm a native Native Austinite. 40 years having pets and have I have never experienced this level of care, compassion, expertise and attention in a vet clinic. Dr. Singleton clearly knows the importance of hiring just the right vets, techs And staff to truly make you feel like you and your pet are the most special in the room. My pup has been the three vets throughout his life (he is about 2.5y/o) as we have moved around Austin. This is the best one I have been to. It is also the only veterinarian office that has let me go in with him since COVID. My pup is very anxious at the vet, and they are wonderful with him. The front desk is professional and friendly. Vets are amazing at explaining concepts in simple language. While we received a sad prognosis regarding our beloved dog, the staff at SW Vet delivered the news with patience and expertise. Dr. Singleton took time out of his already busy day to work us in and spent extra time explaining it all; while Hannah, the vet tech, occupied my 2 year old so I could listen. Such wonderful care from a thoughtful team during a difficult time.
