Tried to get job started 2 months ago, but was hard to get any calls back. Finally got a call back, said I needed to put down deposit to get a job scheduled. Tara did the quote according to the pictures I sent with my phone. I thought this was very progressive since she could take a look at the job remotely and make a quote. She was punctual and we texted back and forth with questions. When her helper Cody arrived however, things started to fall apart. the pictures didn't show enough detail so this put Cody in a bad spot. I'm having a really hard time with the social media generation. They twist what actually happens into such drama. I absolutely was not rude to this customer or her husband. I think the email he re-printed is proof of that. I simply stated that we do not provide the service (at this time) that they requested. Tara and her crew did a fairly decent job, I just wish she would have been more up front with how many coats they can apply at once, how long that takes, that they may have to come back and if they do, that it will cost more. I also wish she would have checked the color of the paint we bought ahead of time so we would have known that it could take 3 or 4 coats. I'm very disappointed to see this review. We went out of our way to accommodate this mans schedule. He called two days before he was to move in to his new home and we managed to complete his job even though our schedule was full. He had already chosen his paint color so I had no idea that it was an ultra deep base (bright red) and would require an additional coat. They were highly recommended on Angie's List. It was horrible. Sheconfused the day of the appointment.I showed her everything to do. They did 2 coats of painting, the second was put on top of wet paint. A lot of spots needed to be redone, but they did not do it. The ceiling had been patched in the past, but she said it was done wrong, but no other painters have had any issues with it in the past. It just needed to be painted with a textured roller. We give each customer an "Estimate Pack" during our first meeting (the estimate), that explains the type of paint and finish we use for each surface. It also notes that Tara would be glad to help with a color consultation if needed and that we walk through every room when the job is completed to make sure you are 100% satisfied before we collect and leave. I was really excited when I found an affordable painter... but you know what they say... You get what you pay for. From the very beginning of working with Speed Pro I knew something was off. Telephoned and then visited website for an estimate, as requested on the contractor's phone message. Left all info and received absolutely no response from this contractor. Feel that responding on a timely manner is essential ... no response within more than a week is just not good customer service. <br />
