Tara showed up on time to my home and was professional. But I never heard back from her on the quote! So I obviously went with someone else.

I'm not sure what happened here. More than likely the email with the bid went to a junk or spam folder. This does happen from time to time. Speed Pro is rated a very strong "A" on Angie's list. I believe most of our reports reflect our work ethic, attention to detail and customer service and satisfaction. This process is beginning to feel like an episode of "Chopped". Terrible! Tara Aldrich, the owner was very rude, unprofessional. She left some walls with only one coat of paint when there was suppose to be two. She got paint on my light fixtures and would not get it off, so she just left it. Their was a 2' sport above cabinets that she said she could not get to, so she just left it unpainted, but I was able to get it. Their was so much more but not enough room to put it.

Thefinal contract included two coats of paint on walls, and one coat of paint on trim.Thepainters applied 2 coats and informed the owners of this, we were never given the option to approve (or disapprove) of this. Nor did Tara at Speed Pro say their would be any additional cost for this service; The first time we had heard of this charge was when shesubmitted arevised invoice Friday (after the fact)for an additional $250.00.A co-owner of her's, Janet,has been threatening to take action to recover the additional cost for the ... read more

Our contract does state two coats on the walls and one coat on the trim. One coat on the trim was not covering so we did a second coat. I attempted to have many conversations with this customer; however, they often ended up with me being yelled at. (I have no idea why). I did charge her an additional $250 and she went ballistic, so I told her she did not have to pay the extra. Then, she was offended by that offer. (She did not pay for the second coat). I received an email requesting a quote for her laundry room. She said couldn’t afford the $150 and decided not to hire us. A couple of days later she contacted me and said her husband got an unexpected bonus and she wanted to proceed. My painter did the work, she inspected and accepted the job and paid him. I honestly forgot I was asked to hold the check. The next day she called and was understandably upset. I told her I would cover the charge and I believe I have. I don't know why everybody gave "A" to this company, but our experience at best was "D" with them. <br /> Poor job done in kitchen by owner herself. You can see white patches even after 2 coats ! third one costs extra. <br /> We just went with them because of excellent rating on Angie's, but now I think I should have shop around. <br /> They have dripped paint on carpet as well as on floor in our newly constructed house... <br />

I'm not sure how to respond to reports like this. She chose a deep reddish color for the kitchen and didn't like it. So I stopped painting in the middle of the job and immediately ran right to the paint store to get another color that she liked better. I put two coats on and told her it may require a third coat because it was such a deep color. The paint was still wet when we left so I asked her to call me after it dried if she thought it needed another coat. She never did so I assumed it looked ok. Our bid states that drast... read more

Contacted the company by emailto get a quote. Received an email from Tara saying she would be out the next week to provide a quote.....never heard from her again.

I unfortunately had a very bad experience using Speed-Pro Painting. I feel Tara gave me a fair price for painting the outside of my windows, which had been rebuilt by a window company. The color match to the existing color of the house was decent; and the paint, I believe, was Sherwin-Williams Duration, which I was happy with. Sadly, I found the rest of the job lacking. This woman forgot to mention that I was with the painter I sent out and we both stayed until she was satisfied. I'm sorry that we didn't get it perfect the first time. There are often touch ups with painting, I don't understand why people are surprised by that. What sets us apart from other companies is that we will return as many times as it takes to satisfy our customers. Fortunately, if there are touch ups, once is usually enough. Need some painting done in my house. Made an appointment with Tara. She arrived as scheduled. We walked around my house while I described what I wanted her and her crew to do. Tara left. Didn't say anything about not wanting to job. Never heard from her again. Left one voice mail message. Nothing.
