Get directionsAt this point I’m happy. As far as the facilities go, it’s as it gets. There are a few things. Nothing is perfect. I’d give cleanliness a 4.5 an A for effort. The staff gets a full 5 though. They provide all services so a four and a half. I think the only thing is that they could have more staff. I do my loved one’s laundry. When they do it things get misplaced – so I just do the laundry. As soon as I went into Emeritus - I knew this was the place for my loved one.

Thank you very much for your feedback.
All the things I rated were excellent. The only thing lacking is the continuity between caregivers between shift to shift to shift. You can tell one caregiver something and it doesn’t get passed on to the next shift. They are working with me to get this worked out. It has shown improvement. If I knew what I know today when I made the choice to place my dad here, I’d still place him here. The food is okay. I’ve had the food several times.

It's very nice. The food is very good we have all eaten there. The executive director Emily is right on top of things. They take residents on outings, and they have religious services, and entertainment come in. I chose Emeritus because of the people, and how they were able to calm me down, and check in on me through this difficult process. They were very helpful in terms of giving me good advice about what to expect and how things would go.

The facility is unkept, the adm is terrible, there is staffing issues/ always short, and cheapest food available.
Business response:
This review is disappointing coming from a family/friend of a resident, especially as it doesn’t seem reflective of this community. While we have an overall rating of 4.7, we ask that you set up a meeting with the executive director to have a one-on-one discussion about your concerns, as we want to know what is on your mind.
The staff at Pacifica Senior Living Spring Valley was caring and kind. They communicated fine, when asked. The meals appeared to be fine and of good quality. The move in process was easy.
Business response:
We appreciate that you took the time to leave us a good review. We are glad that you are satisfied with the move-in process, the food and the staff support.
If you care about your loved one, do not take them to Pacifica. Our Mom went 21 hours without food or water in this facility. The staff was not properly trained for her care as she required. There was broken glass in the hallway for more than 5 weeks without being cleaned up, even though I brought it to their attention. Communication was terrible with both administrator [name removed] and director of nursing [name removed]. We trusted them and signed up for Hospice, and that reduced the amount of care the facility provided b... read more

Food program was a disaster. Truly was. Worse is leadership and corporate could careless. Greed and all mighty dollar won over. My wife at one point lost 13 lbs in 3-4 weeks, why? food was unpalatable and really low quality. I watched countless others over months not eat food, staff admit many were not eating, losing weight and unhappy. Surveyed staff, could find no one that eats the food themselves, zero said they would feed it to their kids.. I said "then why are you feeding this food to the residence" Sales head justified... read more
Moved my wife who is suffering from Alzheimer's late stage, was really hoping for best outcome, and just wasn't there. Negatives, Food program was literally the worst of the worst, food you wouldn't wish on enemies, serious, no selection, cheap ingredients, frozen veggies, cheap, food program literally better at state prisons and or county Medicaid facility then this place. I literally couldn't find 1 staff member that would eat the food or feed it to their kids, I literally watched resident after resident no eat, literally.... read more
