Came here one Saturday night. This is definitely more of a family place than an hangout spot for the weekend. Kids were running around everywhere. It took us forever to get our food.They were out of the fish tacos so I opted for the shrimp. I got the pineapple salsa from the fish tacos on the side. It was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. The tacos themselves were really good, I just wish there was a less slaw/toppings. The fries were perfectly looked and seasoned.
The outdoor setup at the restaurant is amazing. So much for families or friends to do while enjoying the amazing food they offer. This is my first trip to Texas and my first restaurant experience. Great menu. I had the Salmon Poke Tacos, and let me just sum up the dish in one word, YUM!
Their service is amazing! So my husband got the patty melt and he wanted it medium rare but they made it well done. He didn't want to waste the food because if he asked for a new one, they would've just thrown it away. So he just asked for a queso refill and they gave us a full new serving! Portion is also huge so we had to take half of ours to go. Mangonada is absolutely delish and everything else! Highly recommend this as a nice hangout spot since they got activities outside such as corn hole and table tennis.
Great food, great service, awesome atmosphere and you should expect to pay handsomely for all of the above.
It saddens me to have to write this as I have been a loyal patron for YEARS. I even helped to open the every first Standard in Rockwall. But it has gone down hill with their franchising out and building multiple locations. First I called ti make a reservation for my birthday party dinner. Was told since it was over 15 people I had to go through the event coordinator and she will only communicate through email- not a single phone call. And was told we can only be accommodated outside. I came here after a 6th grade graduation for my daughter. Her and her brother went to play outside and they came across these kids who were about 10-13 and there were 5 of them. My kids described them as disrespectful and annoying. My sons had a soccer ball and they were playing but those kids came along and took it. They were asking for it back but they never received it back. They came back to ask us but the kids were already gone with the soccer ball with them. I've eaten here (at the actual business) once. Uber Eats tells a completely different story. In the past year, I've ordered delivery 10+ times. Geesh! I have to give it to them, their food is good even after waiting for delivery. I've ordered quite a bit of the menu and have never had an issue with the quality of ingredients, freshness, or temperature. Mike was weak ... Long wait Food wrong Drinks long wait for refills it wasn't busy but took forever and then the full order was wrong sent it back was still wrong Mike was weak!
Great atmosphere for the whole family. Good surprisingly good (I don't know why it's surprising- I guess they could probably get away with average food because of the ambiance, but they put in the effort for both).
