Pretty tough experience. The dentist told me they pre-ran my insurance, got everything approved, would pay close to the estimated amount. Called me a couple times and hung up as soon I said hello afterwards post-service, then 7 months later sent me a nasty email stating I owed them almost $1000 with no prior communication. They then stated that they didn't communicate with our insurance until afterwards (meaning they lied), "fought" with them for 7 months with no communication to me outside of the "phone calls" they allegedl... read more

Make sure that you understand your insurance fully. Otherwise, you will be left with additional charges 1 year after the procedure was performed. My bad for thinking that agreeing to a certain copay ($500 per crown) ahead of getting it, will be the only payment. Both my husband got additionally billed after every procedure and cleaning. They must be really bad at estimating their costs... Also, the customer service person was very rude when I brought up these issues. Not going back there.

We do the best we can to identify coverage at the time of service, but ultimately we cannot know exactly what a patient's insurance will come back with. The treatment plan every patient signs go over this very clearly and state that they are just an estimate and that any unpaid portion by insurance may result in a patient responsibility. BUYER BEWARE! This location is so unprofessional. Let's all hope you have a great experience because heaven forbid, you bring them any negative feedback. This could have been an easy handling but the lack of understanding and compassion from this office speaks volumes. I called just now to let them know my fiancé's visit today was subpar. Instead of showing any concern, I was asked, "OK, but why are you calling?" Desiree should really never work in customer service again. I had been going to Station Dental for 2 years. I made an appointment 6 months in advance (at my last cleaning). During that cleaning, I also referred them 2 new patients. Somehow during that process, my email and phone number were updated in their system to my referrals email and phone number without my knowledge. We recently stopped using Station dental after some questionable diagnosis and have been harassed ever since. A full year after leaving their practice they have been harassing me and my wife over a $30 charge they cannot explain or prove. I have disputed it repeatedly and my wife has asked for an explanation but did not receive a call back. Now they sent us a threatening letter saying they are sending us to collections over a $30 charge they still can't explain.....
