Was disappointed that the bottle beer we were served was not very cold and that you were out of Captain Morgans. Both my friend and I drink it so were forced to drink something else.
The Ambiance and Service were great but the food was awful. My fiance and I attened Stonecreek for the first time and both of our dishes were NOT good. The food was very bland and had NO flavor. I ordered the Salmon and he ordered the chicken scallopini. His dish looked so good when they brought it to the table. I try to like Stone Creek because many of the menu items sound good, but I haven't ordered one dish that was actually good.
We went late on Saturday night so maybe we hit a bad time, but the service was very slow and the food was less than exciting. The menu looks amazing, however our entire meal lacked a lot of flavor. We ordered the goat cheese appetizer, which was ok, salads that lacked flavor, the short ribs (which were overly fatty), and the scallops (which were under-cooked). Overall, I wouldn't go back.
I ordered a New York strip medium well and it came out rare to medium rare...sent it back and after finishing the rest of my meal, a piece of brown, charred shoe leather came out to me. It looked disgusting! They did comp my meal, but it really killed it for my husband's birthday. Will not go for dinner again...but would have a drink in the bar.
Food preferences are totally subjective, but in our opinion the new menu is a miss. Several items have been dropped (incl. my favorite sesame encrusted tuna) and they've gone a little too "gourmet-ish" (read weird) for our taste. We have a half dozen or so Cincinnati restaurants in our rotation and we visit one of these each week. Stone Creek has now dropped off the list.
unfortunately I mentioned to server that we weren't in a hurry to order dinner, that we wanted to have drinks first. Well, after finishing my 1st beer of the day, it was a long time coming for a refill. I ordered the seafood boil & thought that a crabcake was part of the meal.Don't remember seeing or eating one.Between my aunt & uncle who were having dinner w/ us, I think it was 50/50. Food was either bland or downright unpleasant. Very disappointing experience.
We were at a booth and it was one of the most uncomfortable bench seats I have had to sit on while dining. Had a piece of dried out salmon and spinish. The other couple had better luck with a steak and chicken dish.
